Ultrix gets down on one knee and, while holding forth an opaline balloon shaped into a battleaxe, declares her eternal love for Dec, and asks him to marry her.
Dec, with a look of utter joy on his face, accepts Ultrix's proposal of marriage.
You missed the best line:
You get down on one knee and, while holding forth an opaline balloon shaped into a battleaxe, you declare your eternal love for Dec, and ask him to marry you.
Dec, with a look of utter joy on his face, accepts your proposal of marriage.
A smattering of clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. Gore is splattered about, a display of Mathiaus's cruel handiwork. The purest water in Aetherius gushes from a crumbling fountain, leaving a stream of crystal-clear water to join the mighty river. A small oil lamp made oftin and glass sits upon the floor, giving off a soft light. A small sign points into a market stall. There are 2 elegant white letters here. The shop directory of Caanae rests here on a cracked marble pedestal. A truesilver pike with the decapitated head of Ruga has been erected by Iniar. A wooden rockinghorse is here, awaiting its next rider. Tomast the Cleric stands here, his gaze cast over the Springs. Bright blue eyes gazing at her surroundings, an albino yearling stands impatiently here, occasionally swatting the air with an agile hoof. Eyeing you defiantly, a brown brawny stallion exhibits its large body. A rose-covered sapling is here singing a sweet melody as it sways lightly to the tune. A sun-kissed nymph hums lightly to herself as she brushes her golden locks. Stalking fireflies with her ears pinned back, a silver-dappled kelpie filly skulks here. A graceful silver mare prances here, tossing her flower-wreathed head. Heated breath flaring his nostrils, a massive warhorse stands here imperially. The undead remains of a baby rat is here. A stray cat wanders around here, searching the ground for food. The ever-shifting visage of Dasin, Aspect of Moradeim, is here. He is holding a truesilver shield in his left hand.
You see exits leading north, east, south, west, in, and a crumbling pathway leads down.
You have reached your destination.
You carefully pile several stones, placing a crimson stone at the heart of the construct.

Sweat flies from your brow as you smith a morning star.
You take a morning star from a sturdy iron forge.
You quench the item in the bucket of water.
With a steady hand, you batter yourself with a morning star.

Axemaster Balan says, "My apologies, but that is not a weapon which I am proficient enough in to teach. You must seek elsewhere."
Arymaire Decarte, the Merchant Mistress says, "My apologies, but that is not a weapon which I am proficient enough in to teach. You must seek elsewhere."
You open the bevor of your plate helm.
Rasping, you say to Arymaire Decarte, the Merchant Mistress, "Who then, should I seek to learn the ways of the morning-star?"
You quickly close the bevor of your plate helm.
Checking and securing her saddle bags, Arymaire tips an imaginary hat to you with a wink, then canters out northwestwards upon her mare.
Not so fast, ma'am.
You open the bevor of your plate helm.
Rasping, you say to Arymaire Decarte, the Merchant Mistress, "No finer weapon has been wrought, a wrecking ball attached to a stick to crush heads and break faces."
You quickly close the bevor of your plate helm.

At this point, Iniar is running out of patience!
You quickdraw an elegant cavalier's broadsword, a truesilver shield.
With a surge of anger Rafe, the Blademaster slashes at you with both swords.
You swing an elegant cavalier's broadsword at Rafe, the Blademaster's left leg with all your might.
You have slain Rafe, the Blademaster.
You open the bevor of your plate helm.
Rasping, you say to the corpse of Rafe, the Blademaster, "Well then, who is the master now? If you won't point me in the direction of a master of the morningstar, then perhaps I shall master it myself!"
You quickly close the bevor of your plate helm.
You scoff arrogantly at the corpse of Rafe, the Blademaster.
A blast of blizzard-like winds descend into the room with a blinding flurry of morose clouds. As they dissipate, they reveal the form of Xuli who leaps from the back of her arctic clouds, which then condense as a thick mantle about her shoulders. She is followed by a mass of violent clouds.
Your pitiful attack is frozen in its tracks by Xuli.
You snicker softly to yourself.
Xuli, the Storm-forged Queen says, "Says the man who fell to me once before."
You say, "What can I say? I've the Legend, the valor and the courage to appear on the field. You've some trappings of leftover God power."
You shrug helplessly.
Xuli looks thoughtfully at you, pondering the situation.
Xuli, the Storm-forged Queen says, "I'm honestly surprised to see you not at a table crying into a mug of ale, or some other intoxicant. Are you done feeling sorry for yourself, then?"
Confidently, you say, "It was all a ruse, meant to lull my foes into a sense of complacency. My return will make my Legend all the grander."
With a curt laugh, Xuli, the Storm-forged Queen says, "What legend is that?"
You say, "Alas, it was before your time, when your betters ruled from on high."
A soft light radiates from you as you flap your wings lightly, allowing you to hover just above the ground.
Xuli crosses her arms with a smirk, leaning back into her clouds. "My betters? If they were meant to be so much better than I, they would still be here."
Bathan taps the ground with his staff, laughing heartily. "They were heroes who fell defending their realm and those within it from being of incomparable strength. You pretenders are naught but shadows, playing at a greatness you cannot begin to comprehend." He gestures towards the rising sun. "Not a single one of you has been impressive. Children meddling with powers beyond you."
Xuli narrows her eyes at you, her smirk fading slightly. "If I were you, I would watch your tone. I care not for whatever greatness they may have held. They left this world to -me- as much as they did to any mortal, and I shall claim my gift. What will you do, mighty hero?" She stands and beckons her clouds to her side. "What will you do when your mortal life becomes as meaningless as your past, and you fade into obscurity?"
Bathan laughs again, this time more softly, his voice almost wistful as he responds. "Ah, fuck if I know. You all seem to die eventually, but we do not, at least not for long." He grins, his sharpened teeth showing prominently. "I'll have a thousand eternities to build a thousand different Legends. I've been a savior, once. I think this time I'll just be a man relishes the chance to cave in another man's skull." Defiantly, he splashes some water in your direction with the butt of his staff. "It might just be that long after your essence is harvested, you'll be reformed as a creature more fit to be of use to me, whoever, and whatever I am at that time."
Xuli raises an eyebrow, her face awash with disdain towards you. "I offered you a chance at watching your tone with me, child." She motions to the ground with one hand and speaks in a booming voice, "Kneel before me and swear fealty to your Queen, and perhaps she will show mercy and spare your life." Lowering her head, she glares at you. "Kneel before me, or else..."
Bathan sucks on his sharpened teeth for a long moment, eventually raising his shoulders in a soft shrug. "I don't mind kneeling so much, so long as it's before someone or something worth kneeling before. I think I've made my feelings on you quite clear." His luminous wings spread out behind him as he hovers just above the river, water dropping from his bare feet. "I'll take the lightning again," he replies, smiling impishly.
Xuli, the Storm-forged Queen says, "Very well."
A flash of light accompanies a sudden burst of thunder from a mass of violent clouds, pummeling you with force. You have been slain by a mass of violent clouds.
‘Least I won’t have to carry it no more. You see how bloody heavy it is?’
‘Every sword’s a weight to carry. Men don’t see that when they pick ’em up. But they get heavier with time.”
As you hold it up to your face, the surface of the mirror unclouds and reveals the image of Septus to you.
He is an athletic scorched. He stands at just under six feet in height. Keen, grey eyes stare out from slightly hollow sockets, and the skin of his face seems slightly paler than is healthy. He is slight of build, but not frail; his arms and legs possessing muscle definition. His hands are strangely delicate looking, long, thin fingers seeming out of proportion to the rest of his body, although they possess the same unhealthy tinge as the rest of his visible skin. He is wearing 8 pocketbelts, a charm bracelet, a yellow wedge-shaped hat, a tarnished coin medal, and a festive birthday hat. He wields a mithril broadsword in his left hand. He has been branded with the Mark of Arctar and the Mark of Cadmus.
As you have quit Ithaqua the point is moot. However, you can never kick anyone out of a city when an election or contestation has been made. Does not matter what the rules of the city are.
Replied regarding concerns about metagaming, political chicanery and obvious and apparent roleplay.

Unless they are attacking and killing citizen at that point, I don't really care. They get a fair shake. They can be punished and kicked out after the election.
Well, sure. Why worry about roleplay, political chicanery or metagaming? I mean, death in Imperian is pretty much the biggest deal and definitely the most long-lasting consequence a city or council has to worry about. A possible regime brought on by metagaming, external politics and the ignoring of in-game laws doesn't even compare to have to deal with player-death. Besides, this is Ithaqua. We certainly don't just kill people for no good reason.
Announce 894:The next guildmaster to throw a contester out without being able to provide demonstrable proof that it was absolutely necessary will find that he or she no longer has a guild to run.
Announce 962: I'm going to clarify this once and for all. If you kick somebody out of any organisation while that person is involved in an election, you must be able to provide clear proof that he/she -must- have been removed from that organization.

Which I provided - to such a glorious narrative, it definitely did not all fit in the replyissue. The issue, of course, that I knew was coming and was not concerned about due to the overwhelming evidence presented by Ithaqua regarding what was happening with Storms as perceived by a solid handful of citizens. Well, I guess so long as no one is dying.
You win this round, @Rasca. I'm sure I'll get you next time, Gadget.
You cannot kick people out that have contested. Period.
The only exceptions are if that player is actively killing citizens or has already lost an election and instantly re-contests to avoid being kicked.
Edit: I suppose dismissing all the guards or taking all the org gold are the types of things that qualify also. However, just because they want to kick out the existing leadership and are planning it secretly is definitely not a good reason.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the heads up!
Edit: If that's what you read out of everything that happened, I obviously need to work on my narrative-writing skills. Or you need to read more things about Ithaqua. One of those! Maybe both.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, and I'm still semi newish to Imperian, but I think Jeremy's point as well as the point of the announce you quoted is that you can't throw out contenders unless they've broken some sort of rule.
Icly plotting for their sect to take over your home? Not a good reason to kick them out during an election. It's rp, roll with it. Campaign against it. They aren't breaking any rules.
They don't like you, and the feeling is mutual? Not a good reason to kick them out during an election.
They rolled a lot of alts or had people join Ithaqua just so they could take over? You might have a case there.

1. Jeremy is refusing to acknowledge that he doesn't really have a clue of why any of that happened, and just assumes it has to do with anyone attempting to overthrow anything. Jeremy is actively mistaken in his understanding of why any of this occurred and is making his own presumptions on the matter - and since he is, in fact, the boss of me, this is OK.
2. I actually very much like @Rasca. I offered him my seat. I'd be more than thrilled if he had it. Rasca, unfortunately, contested at the same time Xuli made some poor, pushy choices, so far as Calais was aware, towards Ithaqua. Ithaqua did what Ithaqua does with pushy deities. Regrettably, the many reasons I offered Jeremy had nothing to do with PK, and therefore, did not fall under the concept of 'good' reasons. Whoops. Now I know.
3. IC rules were broken, which apparently are irrelevant since they don't involve people dying. Additionally, the 'RP' didn't actually happen in game on the hands of said opponents, other than Xuli, which was reacted to in this way. So, the rolling with it is difficult, and what rolling with did occur, was what Imperian witnessed the end of.
That aside, this topic is so dead. The mistake was mine for not knowing what the administration considers a 'good' reason until after the fact. Misunderstandings all around!
