I @Verexa for all her hard work in putting together some Winter Solstice events in-game last minute and people participating. I'm sorry I'm currently travelling and can't help more, but you've been doing wonderfully!
I heart not knowing about the snowman thing before wandering out into the Reate. I actually stared at my screen and said 'what the ****' when one aggro'd on me. That'll teach me not to read the news.
‘Least I won’t have to carry it no more. You see how bloody heavy it is?’
‘Every sword’s a weight to carry. Men don’t see that when they pick ’em up. But they get heavier with time.”
A massive snow-covered pine dryad looms here, her form
covered with obnoxious multi-colored light strings and shiny decorations.
This massive dryad looms overhead, her shape depicting
the crude version of a massive pine tree, heavily blanketed with snow. The base
of the dryad is a wide circular bunch of branches and pine needles that are
peculiarly sharp and poke outwards, similar to a porcupine. Her form narrows as
it rises upwards, ending at a point, where flimsy branches of a heavy pine
needle mane drape down her backside like a ponytail. Her face is scrunched into
a snarl, brow furrowed and blackened fangs hanging from her maw, glistening
menacingly. Darkened eyes appear as twisted knots in her pine trunk, glaring
furiously about as she dons what must be an embarrassing display of adornments.
Strings of slender glass bulbs have been wrapped around her form, with small
glass globes of elemental magick alighting brightly in intermittent green and
red hues, sparkling cheerfully every few seconds. Lengths of glittering silver
garland are wrapped between each strand of the lights, adding more unnecessary
adornments to this obviously irate creature. Various balls and hand-crafted decorations
have been hung carefully along her thick branches, and the occasional shape of
a stag or smiling snowman can be seen amongst the decorations, adding insult to
injury.
This is officially my new favorite mob ever and nothing can sway my opinion of how amazing it is. Whoever wrote it gets all my love.
After coming home, my son accidentally let the dog run out without attaching the leash, and that I only had to call once for her to come back without a fuss. Anyone with a dog that'll bolt at the first chance it gets outside free knows what I'm talking about.
Discovering that my job was secure after 3 months of medical leave and after a -terrible at her job- LOA rep screwed up literally every paper I sent in and trying to blame it on me. (I saved it, wench, and my boss was aware of what I was doing the whole time).
Being back to work, finally. Being -welcomed- back to work with a lot of enthusiasm from my coworkers. Even getting Christmas gifts from coworkers.
My dad saving Christmas by taking my kids to Disneyland this week so they don't have to mope around a house filled with nothing (because 3 months of unpaid leave and lots of medical bills ate up all my holiday/everything funds).
Getting exactly the shift I wanted.
Having kids who not only were completely reasonable with the fact that Christmas blows this year, and in fact informed me that the point of Christmas was love and family, not presents, and that they'd really just like to do fun things together.
Not at all being in pain, sick, puking, and able to think clearly and sleep. Huzzah.
[R] Ultrix: On the issue of stolen snowmen, Through grinding stones, Bathan tells you, "It's a team effort. I just happened to not have a team, so I heroically joined my strength to yours."
I would say your previous posts do not state 'team' material.
On topic: I heart all the random PvP taking place in the last few days. While I definitely enjoy caravans/shardfalls, I also really enjoy the random PvP occuring outside of those scheduled conflict mechanisms. It seems like a lot of people haven't engaged in random PvP in a long time, so watching their reactions to stuff like 'Bathan is sniping snowmen and we can't kill him because this isn't a caravan' is pretty hilarious.

‘Every sword’s a weight to carry. Men don’t see that when they pick ’em up. But they get heavier with time.”
You can totally kill him for that, but it's not 'protected' PvP like caravans or shardfalls; he gets to kill you back for it.
"On the battlefield I am a god. I love war. The steel, the smell, the corpses. I wish there were more. On the first day I drove the Northmen back alone at the ford. Alone! On the second I carried the bridge! Me! Yesterday I climbed the Heroes! I love war! I… I wish it wasn’t over."
"Flawlessly polished silver alloy has been used to create this sleek logger's axe. The handle has been subtly curved and narrows at the end to provide a suitable grip for the hand. Expert craftsmanship has gone into the blade of this weapon, having been attached to the handle with such care that not a single imperfection can be seen at the connection. The head of the blade widens out into a sharp curve, allowing the blade to flare outwards and cut mercilessly with each swing of the axe. It tapers in length until the edge is incredibly narrow and razor sharp, crafted to cut through even the toughest of wood types with ease."
Thing looks pretty cool. Next stop is a customization token. Imperial Logging Company axe hoooo.

"You definatly shout out, "Dork!" at Curran."
I have a new hobby. Instead of running out and silently unseeneying people, I run out and shout dork at them. With a typo.
It's the little things in life.
not for yay for a getting a giftbag with Asaka's mark
but yay again for it getting fixed

A massive terrifying snowman shouts, "Winter is not coming. Winter has come!"
I actually chuckle every time I see this.
