A little shriek sounds from the shade when suddenly the world seems to snap back into place, and it then calls in a soothing lull, "Little mortals, little mortals! Who will aid me?"
I that all of Antioch was like "Oh hey, that's us, right? We're gonna side with the shade?"
"On the battlefield I am a god. I love war. The steel, the smell, the corpses. I wish there were more. On the first day I drove the Northmen back alone at the ford. Alone! On the second I carried the bridge! Me! Yesterday I climbed the Heroes! I love war! I… I wish it wasn’t over."
The very fabric of reality distorts across Aetherius as the final bone is set to rest within the altar, and the delighted cries of the shade echo across the land. A hole punches through from the Rashirmir to the Yhumara Islands, and the looming figure of the Beholder steps through the tenuous veil between the planes.

I love the Cyclops, being squished in one stomp is funny! Whoever was behind its design gets a thumbs up! Hugs and cuddles go to @Ahkan@Raya@Kanthari and @Alvetta for that excursion!
Also managed to get the Brittle Bones achievement with it!

The long-standing problem with numbness sometimes causing you to die to weird things should now be
fixed for good.
I hope.

A hole punches through from the Rashirmir to the Ravana Hills, and the looming figure of the Watcher steps through the tenuous veil between the planes.
A triumphant chitter resonates across the realm as the power of the nightmare plagues has been harnessed. An upswell of Diachaim roars around the shade in a whirlwind, causing its form to twist and distort as it absorbs the power. Cackling now, the monstrous shade soars across the sky to land near Caanae, the sound of digging heard as it burrows its way back to Dis to consult its master. With little warning, the Diachaim surrounding the altar swells with an unexpected force. A lull settles over the land before a resonating 'CRACK' nearly splits the ancient altar in half.

We are releasing a new Iron Realms wide character retirement program for your benefit.
This program allows you to permanently retire your character and receive credits based on previous purchases. This is in the realm of about 50% of character purchases, not including credits, lessons, and artifacts received from the game for free (such as leveling up, login promotions, and other in-game happenings)
These credits can then be transferred to a new character on Imperian or any other Iron Realms game. This new character MUST be less than 14 days old.
If this interests you, please read HELP RETIREMENT for the full details.
Keep in mind that this is not an instant process and will take time to confirm and get administration approval.
NOTE: This is only for personal use only. You cannot transfer these credits to another player. You cannot sell or give your account to another player. If you attempt to do this, involved characters and accounts will be shrubbed and banned.
Enjoy!

Holy crap, I know a char I might do this with... although, I kind of have all the chars I need (three here in case I want to play any of the circles, and one I dink around on MKO sometimes, because I love people watching their incredibly eccentric player base). Still, this is awesome and I never thought they'd bend on this.
The dark abyss of night grows in strength as a section of stars seem to burn out in intensity. And yet before long, the celestial bodies return with a bursting flash of dawn-hued light.

Just want to say, I've been around about twenty four hours at this point, having tried playing imperian once way back when, and I'm loving just the game as a whole. I'm a Lusternia refugee (thanks retirement!) and I have to say that everyone I've come across so far has been super awesome and just good people. What's up with that, evil demon city? :P
Imperian has a reputation as the "worst" IRE property, but from what I've seen that's definitely not the case. I'll be applying pressure to friends to come play as well. Keep up the awesome.
Back "in the day" Imperian had PK rules that basically consisted of "have an in-character reason that doesn't sound completely retarded" and Achaea had reasons like
Section VII.II.V: Passing Through A Group Combat Scenario While Not Involved.
If the Prospective PvPer(PP) is passing through a Group Combat Scenario(GCS) and is struck by an Involved PvPer(IP) using a roomwide attack not intended to strike the PP, the PP has a 2.5 minute window to submit a notarized Intention of PvP document to the IP informing the IP that the PP has a grievance that they wish to settle via PvP. The PP should keep a notarized copy of this document in their permanent files for 3 years in the case of a PvP Cause Audit. Should the PP fail to file this document within the alloted window, their right to PvP is permanently waived.
So basically Imperian was the Wild West and lots of Achaeans and such came over and had a horrible time adjusting, and that's where a lot of the bad rep comes from. PvP environment used to be very very griefy. It's improved a lot, though. Rules are still pretty lax but there's no more of the "die 12 times for one cityraid because everybody you fought against gets an individual revenge kill" stuff going on.

I legitimately have no idea how that happened.
Completely baffled.
