New shard research tree, giving the ability to turn shards directly into respectable amounts of quest experience, with the efficiency increasing with more levels of the research.
That would give midbies a real incentive to go along to shardfalls and ensure the spoils come back on their side of the fence. Quest levels (and virtue drops) are the hardest to get by a margin, and this would also help to even out the mana reserve disparity for anyone who missed out on the halcyon days of March 2015. Please have the flavour text involve building a cairn of shards and then either kneeling down to worship it, or kicking it over.
The last level lets cities build giant shard cairns that give experience to all citizens, and other cities get to try to knock them down early.
They'd be worthwhile if they were knocked down immediately, but they'd be REALLY worthwhile if you could hold it for a while.

Could Ironbeard just do like a giftbag a day after you've been online for an hour or something?
The yearly "week where everybody AFKs 24 hours a day" is tiresome.

I'm actually surprised. Stockings throw a bunch of neat stuff at you and you get some for free from Silverbeard/Ironbeard for sending in a Christmas letter. That's a nice little perk in and of itself. With those around, I was surprised to see that they did Ironbeard at all this year.
Are we really complaining that our free stuff isn't easy enough?

No, I'm complaining that it's optimal to log on and AFK 24 hours a day until Ironbeard goes away.

I really like our admin, I mean really like them, but, I am glad that players feel free to be pretty matter of fact about criticism, and not beat around the bush and sugar-coat any criticism until it's barely recognizable, and I want that to always continue here. I kid you not, on all of the other IRE forums, there is a permeating obsequiousness from players (sometimes very heavily promoted, or even demanded, by admin, but just as often weirdly promoted by players themselves). It's weird. We don't have that. Good. But still, sometimes even here people take frank criticism as some horrible thing. It's not. If we are actually awful to other players or admin, they have no trouble banning people. It's basically the best relationship I have seen.
Yeah. It isn't the most user friendly thing. We aren't going to make any changes this year, but recognize that it isn't ideal and will be considering alternatives for the future.
Originally, the plan was very similar to what you described - everyone that took the time to do so already got two free stockings. We decided to run Ironbeard on top of those two free stockings.
This ability will allow you to leap over various obstacles in your way.
You cannot do this while mounted.
Allow characters to leap while mounted, but have a longer balance return to compensate for it; or just add an artifact that does the same?
That would allow you to combine the mounted waterwalking effect with leap. Since that is a balance change, and not a quality of life one, it should go through classleads.
Is there any possibility that the promo Warhorn item could be unblowable when the current area isn't in the post-last-wave phase? Since it's sort of really hard to tell in some cases(especially with other people bashing) and has a longish cooldown, it'd be great to know it just couldn't be wasted when it isn't actually going to work.

NOVICE - Your rank in any profession will be novice if you are level 50 or lower. - A novice in a profession will be automatically promoted to apprentice when he/she has reached level 51. - If a novice forgets the profession or individual skills within the profession, he/she will receive 100% of the lessons spent back.
These two things don't really mesh that well. Could you consider extending the free reincarnates up until L51? This would make it a lot more viable to decide on Mage instead of Runeguard or the like.

It would be nice if it could be based on play time. Maybe. As it stands, you pretty much need to have IRE experience, and realize that you are serious about taking your time. Because, you really have to be very assertive about not being powerlevelled if you know you are new to the game and want to think about things a bit. Like "NO I AM FINE I HAVEN'T HAD THIS MUCH FUN EXPLORING IN MY CRAPPY LEATHER ARMOR IN YEARS JUST LET ME HAVE THIS OKAY" assertive.

Incidental over-levelling is very common. Consider extending free reincarnates to 30 hours of play time.
So about a month ago, I looked at my subscription and figured I nor Imperian itself wasn't getting very much out of it... I looked around the pool of Imperian players and felt that one person in particular was worth investing my money into...
Cleverly, I cancelled my subscription and tried to subscribe for the person mentioned, before finding out you can't pay for another person's subscription...
I wonder if admin would consider allowing players to 'gift' Iron Elite subscription months? I would like to do this, but I can understand if admin wouldn't want to.
Right now, Rangers have AB TRAILBLAZING TRACK and Outriders have AB TRAILBLAZING STALK, because Track is a wyrmriding skill an they don't want a name conflict.
Could the Ranger ability be changed to also allow the Stalk syntax just to normalize things? It is frustrating having different syntaxes for the same skill when you have both professions.
