    Man, so just very recently, I have been trying on a new (to me) IRE game as a sort of "change of scenery", or just for when things are slow over here - and again, I just can never overemphasize how happy I am that the entire mindset of this game's admin, from the top down, seems to be "we're not going to toy with you by trying to use punitive mechanics (like XP loss) as a way to try to increase player emotional investment" - despite the fact that that absolutely does work with a certain kind of player because it is quite frankly part of the gaming addiction profile for a fair number of people.  If this game didn't exist in the form that it does, I would not still be opening my wallet to IRE regularly (and having the fun that I do).
