How does one determine the contents of a chest?

    PROBE is the verb that generally gives you more information about things, and also tells you what is inside of them. PROBE CHEST will show you the contents (if any), and you can then GET <item> FROM <chest>.

    You also have to OPEN <chest> if it is closed in order to be able to see its contents.
