Subj: Bug, Typo, and Idea reporting guidelines

Hello, all,

We've had some bug, typo, and idea reports lately that are confusing or incomplete, so I wanted to give you some guidelines to making your reports better (and everyone's lives easier).

In all cases, be as specific as possible. Include as much context as you can. The more you give us, the easier it is to track down the problem.

If the bug/typo involves with a particular mobile, include:
The appearance of the mobile (this is the description in INFO HERE)
The number of the mobile (e.g. example12345)
The area in which it can be encountered (or the specific room, if applicable).

BUGS
If it has to do with a particular room, file the report from within that room. If it is a mobile that is in the room, still file it from that room if possible. The room within which you stand is included when you file a report.
If there is a bug with a particular skill, include the skillset and the skill.
If possible, include steps to reproduce the bug. This will let us track it down faster, because we'll already know how to generate it.

IDEAS
Specific changes to professions or skills should usually not be submitted through this system - they should be submitted as classleads instead.
Some exceptions can be made for "flavor" for the profession or skill, but these will usually be deferred to classleads as well.
More detail is good here, too, but remember that just because you submit an idea one way doesn't mean it won't be changed if we choose to implement it.
Most IDEAS are in the queue for some time before they are implemented. Don't give up hope!
Conversely, just because your idea has been in the queue for a long time doesn't mean we have any plan to implement it. While we try to remove the ones that are clearly out of bounds, we often leave things for consideration or because we think we may change our mind. That may never happen.

TYPOS
Don't just submit a line of text and hope we can find the typo in it. This takes up more of our time trying to deduce your intent, and isn't guaranteed to get results. ALWAYS include what you believe is wrong with the given line so that we can fix it.

If you find you've submitted something before you were finished, you can use the COMMENTBUG command to add more detail.

None of these queues are intended as ways to communicate with the administration. If you need to contact the administration, do so by issuing yourself, emailing support@imperian.com, or messaging the specific member of the administration with which you wish to speak.

Follow these guidelines, and we can work together to make the game better.
Thanks!
