Being a non-responsive training dummy is one of my best talents. If you see me sitting around Khandava staring blankly, feel free to go for it. Just try not to actually kill me because that's inconvenient for other dummy seekers.

Chiming in to say I'm also in Achaea too (although pretty much all games have taken a backseat to work lately). I'm Ras over there. Hit me up!

I've also played every IRE until endgame, though how far 'into' endgame varies heavily. Most of my experience is centered around Imperian and Aetolia, though I've gone back to Achaea recently for a fresh start and have been having a good time.

The best defense against it is stupidity spam - I had to throw in a check to make sure I absolutely never used any finishers with stupidity on, since it usually meant everything would fire in a terrible, stupid order and ruin the whole thing.

The most depressing part about Defiler is that the pieces are totally there, they just don't fit together. Augur is a fun concept that is probably way too OP if employed in a more effective way. The lack of actual affliction stacking is intentional …

One time I devised a 'death by spam' strategy using bileshroud, armour charger, pain soulbinding. Sadly the plan backfired because a) I was doing maybe 5% more damage than before cumulatively and b) cMud punished me accordingly for my transgression …

Ignoring Khizan's standard crazy revisionism for a moment, it boils down to the fact that players are largely divided between 'party lines' on what they want out of the game. One side has the overwhelming majority of PK weight and people are less ke…

Honestly, the breakdown of cities as roleplay and trade hubs over time can be directly attributed to raiding, even from the opening of the game. Totems existed to protect cities from raiders, so we needed engineering. Cities had to be restructured t…

I still use mudbot because it keeps me connected in the (very likely) event that CMud crashes. For users playing with modern clients, it's likely completely outdated.

And you can also prioritize against Diabolist and cure much more optimally than you did there. It's fine to bring up potential balance issues, but affliction offenses do require specific priorities and optimizing those priority shifts to survive at …

(Quote) It's really hard to judge whether or not something is balanced when you make several pretty important mistakes. You're missing the core defense against the profession, your priorities are letting him stack mental afflictions no …

Your tree died at the start of the fight, and I'm not sure if you're trans antidotes? - so both of those were pretty significant knocks to your healing.
You paused autocuring to mark return, which delayed curing impatience and numbness b… -
Busy with work so I'll have to post more later, but the initial thought that keeps coming to mind is - why are guards the objective?
Having a tangible objective for raiding would probably go a long way towards mitigating a lot of the prob… -
(Quote) At a glance, it looks like a long-standing bug with autocuring, where it will start writhing again once you've recovered balance (and thus resetting the writhe). Not sure, though.

If you can't get an invite to the AM ring (definitely the best place to ask), hit me or anyone else listed in CLANHELP PVP up and try asking there, someone may be able to help.
At a glance, having not played ranger in at least half a deca… -
(Quote) Surcoat is very useful for pretty much everyone, so that's a good starting point. Same for the artifact shield, though the value is a bit less than it is for summoner since you'll want to be clever (and therefore can get better …

Welcome to Imperian! It seems like you have the basics covered.
My recommendation for summoner (and most classes) would be to invest in defense before offense, especially since the summoner kit is very workable if you can survive long eno… -
Combat artifacts are bad, so these aren't combat relevant - mostly, because one can always dream! Some are also silly, but they can't all be serious. Grain of salt.

If it's meant to be a system to attack a city's finances (this is the current state), it needs to have a similar cost for the aggressor. If it's not in experience, it has to be in something other than just time, because some people have way too much…

It's not really worth getting worked up about, so you're right, we'll have to just disagree on why so many people jumped sides at the same time.
My point is that you need two sides to fight, and tilting it too far in one direction has alw… -
We'll just see how things go, but we've been through this cycle enough to know how it tends to go.
Being aggressive is fine and expected, but you seriously can't expect 'defenders' to get battered on every front and still want to log in. …
