I'd rather have things unbalanced than be a boring three way mirror match.
-
Just Reave shouldn't be viable 1v1 though. That's dull. Winning off one skill isn't fun or good design. Templar was simply poorly thought out, their affliction options are sorely lacking and could stand to be increased in strength considerably.
-
I don't think Reave was ever supposed to be used as the only skill you need to win in 1v1, it's just that highly artifacted knights were able to do just that. These changes have mostly just made Templar an even worse 1v1 class than it was before. La…

Demonic tracks afflictions together because it generally makes us perform better as a whole. While the situation Khizan described does happen, it's usually only seen in the opening round of combat before curing balances are pushed behind. The afflic…

Anything involving the lightning fast exchange of afflictions where one misstep in momentum or poorly timed defensive action will cost you the fight.
-
Yep, ditto that, just ask.

I don't really see that from them no, between banish, cripple, heal, strike, transmute, shield (which they can get away with all day long).
-
Hunter has access to many disabling mental afflictions, can totally deny tree and focus for an entire fight, gets to use toxins, an on demand transfix and gets bounty. Those are just the things that come to mind; the class is an affliction machine.<…

Outrider is far better than Templar for the most part, especially considering 1v1. In fact, I think that outside of being extremely artifacted that Templar is in a bad place for single combat, but whatevers. Thing is, Outrider has afflictions, damag…

That's the state where single combat tends to be when both people are roughly as skilled: a stalemate that is decided only by error, be it human or mechanical. I'm fine with it being that way, because the alternative is favouring one side or the oth…

Actually, there is a lot more damage going around than afflictions. Nearly everyone in Antimagick is a Templar and for good reason. Nearly everyone in Magick is a Runeguard or Druid, also for good reason. Demonic? The number of Deathknights puts all…

I get the same response regardless of class and I'm not the only one, things have been going this way for a good while now. And insert some comment here about how people don't actually want to make an effort to cure better or learn new stuff, becaus…

I wish I could tell you it was different from that now, but really, it isn't. Whilst the level of participation varies from event to event, circle to circle, you will in general see the same people fighting over and over, with group combat like that…

And/Or reduce the damage from Reave (and other high zero buildup damage sources). You know, more momentum based, less burst. Or something.

It is really, really hard to be stolen from. The effort required to get through clarity, bracing, re-wearing...and this is saying nothing of artifacts like pouches and packs (which you don't need to have by any means). Sure it's not impossible in al…

If someone drops their gold, I'll keep it. If I have PK on someone and have the chance to pilfer their belongings via forced commands, I'll do it. I expect the same things to happen to me and take measures to prevent them since it's not exactly hard…
