(Quote) You've spent roughly the past 12 years talking about how important politics are and how you are The Best Ever At Politics and how Imperian is a sad shell of how it used to be because Politics Aren't As Important Anymore... isn't it a bit h…

So, I don't know if anybody can see my posts yet, but since there's 24 hours left I'm gonna post anyways.
What I would really like to see are some bashing areas that can actually pose a threat to a high-level high-geared character.

Wunjo strips blindness. Every time you get the "The bleeding wunjo rune on your chest burns with intense pain." message the wunjo rune is firing on you. Since you never reblinded, the rune had no effect on you after the first proc.

The problem with caravans is that Imperian PvE mechanics are basically non-existent outside of the boss fights and this makes caravans extremely boring. Right now, there are three practical ways to kill a caravan.
1) Barrier tank it. This… -
So.
Let's say I buy 1000 credits. My retire value is 500. I spin the wheel with a free spin and I win 1000 credits. What is my retire value at now? -
Imperian works a bit different in some cases.
Let's take somebody like Iluv or Septus. They're both pretty great at 1v1 and most people in this game are not going to beat them. One of them starts, I dunno. Picking a fight outside of your … -
I wasn't going to mention any of this until I put the plans in motion, but since the cat was let out of the bag a bit early and I'd never try to rebag a cat... here goes.
At this point, I feel like I can comfortably say that I have done e… -
After thinking about it, I agree with Iluv about the nature of these changes. Imperian is already crushingly top heavy. All these changes do is make the gap between the haves and the have-nots even larger than it already is.
And, let's … -
(Quote) I think that back damage or the like would be better simply because it's easier to implement without a total revamp. The predator limb damage chassis isn't bad at all; the problem is fitting a finisher into it while accounting for monk syn…

Sanctuary is really only a major problem in that one specific situation you were in. You were trapped in a one exit room in a situation that didn't let you use grove return or aspect gaze or portal out or whatever.
There's also a lot of… -
(Quote) You could probably revamp Predator alongside monk. With monk turning into a caster and losing their limb damage, predator would have a lot of space to expand. Could give them a back damage kill, maybe.

After some discussion on Bellatores, we came up with some thoughts on how to make classes neutral.
First, the classes that go neutral should be the weaker classes. I have been convinced of this. Less impact on balance, they'll get the ext… -
So. Here's a major problem with Imperian rightnow as far as newbie retention.
Predator is a garbage tier trap class. It is so utterly unworkable in PvP that Septus and I have been completely unable to make it work with L2/3 sitara and +3 … -
Surprisingly good fights in the end of both the 2v2 and 4v4.
I really thought that Damage Meta had us there in the 2v2 final after they wiped me out so early, and the massive 3v4 upset when the Lykes beat C-team was probably my favorite m… -
(Quote) This is pretty much how the game goes as it is. AM is monks and outriders, Demonic is summoners and deathknights, and Magick is Druids and Runeguards.

(Quote) No, the issue I mean is "I am bored in Antioch and I want to go to Demonic, but I only have, say, tri-trans and Survival/Antidotes/Evasion. Going demonic would mean dropping ~400 credits to finish out a new profession or dealing with just …

(Quote) One problem I see with this is that if you make all the popular classes non-neutral you're really not fixing the problem at all. I would MUCH rather see Summoner/Druid/Monk all go neutral than all stay aligned. First, they're the most comp…

Dissenting opinion: I think that making most of the classes neutral classes will help.
One major problem in this game is that when you get bored with a faction or your city and want to leave it, you're looking at a pretty high price to do… -

Eh. We had way too many Gods, most of whom would never be active again, and every volunteer who went through the system was basically forced into playing one of a small handful of those roles if they ever wanted to have an Order. The entire God syst…

(Quote) Sects largely came about to avoid the thing where you had half a dozen different players going through the same god shell, playing the same being in different ways, having to try and meet the expectations of the players who followed them. …

Monks had nothing to do with the Gods, really.
Think less Benedictine and more Shaolin. -
Imperian has always sort of had a problem with that. It was designed with this three-way conflict in mind. Aggressive expansionist demoners, freedom-loving magickers, religious zealots determined to crush out both factions. I think this was done in …

I like Imperian more than Achaea. I think that, in many ways, Imperian is a much better game than Achaea. And I think that if Imperian had ever received the attention that it deserved that it might be the biggest IRE game by now, because when Imperi…
-
The thing about Achaea is that Achaea has a lot more people so that the effect is diluted. When I play my (relatively) little Achaean there are other relatively little people around, it's not just newbies and artifact titans. Achaea's sheer size mak…

I think another major problem with player retention in Imperian is probably the artifact levels. The playerbase is so small that we're very very top-heavy. You're not gonna fight the occasional artifact whale if you want to start fighting. No, you'r…
