  • Do you like making @Ohm cry, @Theophilus in I HEART Comment by Anette March 2016
  • Idea that our resident wheel-addicts @Ohm and @Theophilus will probably agree …
  • Well, thanks for the recommendation, I might poke it regardless.  I've been using a CLI-based stuff because then I can just ssh from my phone or tablet worst case using an app I have and play that way, still having my full system at my fingertips.  …
  • (Quote) Can it run from the CLI?  I'm not able to init to graphics mode on all the places/devices I'm playing from.
  • (Quote) Said in best Gollum impression: it burnss ussss!

[Edit]: Actually, if I do come up with something, I notice there's like a repository of code snippets on the sites?  Is there a way to submit it…
  • Unfortunately playing from Linux I don't think either of those clients are an option for me, but thank you for the snippets all the same.
I might see if I can program something for this linux dealy I'm on.
  • Yeah, I suppose.  It's probably not a huge concern, I'd just feel more confident if I could see exact numbers.  And you can in belieflog, but it's clunky and everyone else is in there too.  For something like Conquest, that's a lotta people.
  • So don't give myself a 24 hour highfavour?  Got it :P

[edit]: Actually, there's an idea, it might be useful for sects if they could limit giving favours/highfavours of certain length to various ranks.
  • Whether it's an issue or not, I don't like the feeling I might be taking more than I put in, and I *do* go pretty heavy on the favours (protection/fortune/highfavour usually, sometimes also alertness and stealth)
  • (Quote) An extension on this - I would like better tools to see how much belief *I PERSONALLY* am using.  You can more or less do this with belieflog, but it's clunky, and you have to filter through everyone else.  I don't care about an…

  • (Quote) A doesn't even have to be worm glance, neccesarialy.  Just toss a message "this wormhole goes to [room] (vnum)."  You could compare against WHO with scripting fairly easily, excepting for people with gems and veils, which is par…
  • This thread has taken a turn for the extreme First World Problems.

(Quote) It needs to be a treasure vault where you can jump into the pile of them like some sort of Imperianite Scrooge McDuck
  • I kind of like the variety of payouts to be honest.  There's a little something for everyone in there.  I just rue that I haven't gotten any of the credit ones because they would make my housebuilding much more expedient. >.>

  • With any gambling system that's cannily designed, there's a threshold of investment where it will start to pay out better.  Not that I know how Impy's is designed, but with most casino games of that nature are a game of finding the break and determi…

  • Well, you got value at least I suppose!

  • Quite a few people I talk to oocly have, but Andy is the one person I know IC who does.  Prevailing wisdom is unless you're in it for the long-haul, its best to just sell the fragments.

Granted, someone like me that's newish and…
  • You're going to have to hold onto them for a long while to get value from them, with the stuff I've heard people getting from it being sub-10cr-on-market promo items.

And that's assuming you can even sell them.  That tier of stu…
  • (Quote) As a compromise, could this be made a perk of the pawprint badge ware?  After all, it makes it so you no longer have to pay.
