Not sure if Wysrias said it here or not, but the reason why devotion is a problem is that it has an automatic self rezz on top of a combat rezz in the same class. You don't see this in any other profession.

You could make the argument that when you're dropping 30-45% of someone's health per round + a choke/entangle + a healing deny + an added spell effect inside one of affliction passive/health damage passive/mana cost passive.......You can't attempt to invalidate someone's arguments because you're ill prepared to defend them.
