I have those but I've limited them to about 6-7. If not careful they consume memory and crash Mudlet.

Their design is far from ideal.

I really think that it's time for the Arena Truefavour to go away. The 15% damage shield is huge and it can play a huge role in out-of-arena PvP, which is frustrating. It does breed more FFAs, but a lot of these seem to be attrition matches that are only fought for the purpose of denying the holder their truefavour.

What I'd like to see is nerfing it down to an arena highfavour that doesn't stack with regular highfavours, and maybe expanding the award out to more than just the top finisher since it wouldn't be so powerful anymore. Maybe the top 3? Top 5?

"On the battlefield I am a god. I love war. The steel, the smell, the corpses. I wish there were more. On the first day I drove the Northmen back alone at the ford. Alone! On the second I carried the bridge! Me! Yesterday I climbed the Heroes! I love war! I… I wish it wasn’t over."

Offer award points towards sub-artifact pieces.

  • Nairat and Loshre are not THAT hard to track, but they add an extra layer of code that is just annoying and a little bit of lag can cause errors in tracking, if it looks like the rune flaring or plant eating is lagged far enough to push the plant eating outside of the 2s until 10s window that those runes are actually up. Any chance we could get an altered message for a plant eat that consumes a nairat or loshre hit, similar to the shadowplant eaten message that I'm fairly certain exists(but I could be wrong about, not renegaded in like, 6+ months).

There is no message for a shadowplant eat... That said, the attached wormhole can trigger effects that allow you to track those.

Not quite sure where to stick this but... The new shrine system, and to a lesser extent the obelisk systems are time-locked systems. I'd just like to share my experience a little - as a former avid player of Utopia, a time-turn based browser mmo from the 90s, these affairs can cause a plethora of symptoms including poor sleep patterns, declining job performance and general irritability. At least then we were locked into 20 a side... Regardless, it was both one of the most fun times of my life and also the one game which pretty much scheduled the rest of my life. There was something absolutely gratifying about synchronizing razing with (5-6 team-mates) someone's effort of 2 months gaming into 0 acres because they refused to surrender. I guess I'm writing this because reading AM ringtells brought back a flood of memories of waking up at 2-3 AM to beat the clock and re-attack people with my 8000 elite avians before the enemy's army returned. It both makes me grin at the fun I had but also cringe at the level of scheduling pain I put myself through. :(

    tldr; you have been warned?

E: I also played TribalWars when it was a text game and boy-o-boy, building the first fiefdom in my local area was amazing fun (the players were so random...) but I ended up having my life also scheduled by it for about 2 months before I said 'This has to stop.'

Hunter loses the basilisk when they fly, meaning I cannot take my fight to the skies if some two-bit merchant keeps trying to fly away and I get tired of tentacling them. I guess I could try to claw them to death with my 10 damage, 1 toxin, 2.18-second claw. C'mon.

  • Yeah, I classled that to rejection.
  • IniarIniar Australia
Your classlead didn't say anything about losing > 50% of Hunter offensive power in the skies :(

  • I believe elrith's did the previous cycle which was equally rejected. I was trying a different approach.

I'm not lying when I say I don't want to play Mage/Hunter because....

    Standing start.

  • Could you grab a log where he's using rebounding/toadstool (also would ideally be from his PoV, so we can see what damage is coming from where). Hard to really comment without being able to see that.

    Also what level axe?

  • I've been thinking about this one for a while and rather than changing the effects of prismatic barrier itself, I want to change the balance time on it.

The Wardancer barrier, Shield Entrench, has a balance time of 6.95 seconds. I had been considering asking to lower the balance of entrench to something approximating the balance time of the other barrier skills, but I've come to the conclusion that I'd really rather raise the eq of barrier to match entrench.

Barrier would remain useful, but it wouldn't be nearly the same kind of barrier>break>barrier>break> cycle it is now.

  • I would also like to see Weaponry Shatter repurposed to break prismatic barriers (yes Iniar it would require a warhammer are you happy now?).

It would remain a channeled action, and it would help prevent the situation where you're left going "welp, we've got an Outrider and a predator and a wardancer, let's sit here and hope they let us cleave. If your team was on the ball in a group fight they could even stop the shatter to save your protective barrier, and it would give people a reason to learn weaponry past parry.

Please for the love of God. @Garryn, this is the absolutely unfriendliest, most soul-sucking, micro-micro-micro management, worse, worst, worstest, worsterest class ever.

Firstly, there's this crap about managing inks in sketches in books.

Then there's this business of why do I have to pick up paper from the papermill?!

You take 1 wood, bringing the total to 139.
You put a wood commodity into a small silver papermill.
You slowly begin to crank the handle of the papermill, grinding the wood into a pulp which is then processed and exits one side of the papermill in the form of paper.
    Balance Taken: 3.20s

You do not have the required commodities to make a small sketchbook.

You take a group of 50 sheets of paper from a small silver papermill.

Why is crafting so interruptable?! See new tattoos.

You skillfully continue crafting a small sketchbook.

You realize that your crafting has been disrupted, and all of your materials have gone to waste.
This small book contains roughly fifty pages, and is just the right size for any artist to make quick notes or sketches in. The cover is formed of green leather, and embossed with the small symbol of a quill.
    It weighs 6 ounces.
It bears the distinctive mark of Iniar.
It has enough blank paper for 50 more sketches.

Why does making paper hurt so much?

You sit down at the workbench and begin crafting a sheaf of paper.
Your skill in Artistry increases your crafting speed.
You take 1 wood, bringing the total to 174.

You skillfully continue crafting a sheaf of paper.

You skillfully continue crafting a sheaf of paper.

You skillfully continue crafting a sheaf of paper.

You have finished crafting ten sheaves of paper.

Why is paper so easy to screw up? See new tattoos.

You sit down at the workbench and begin crafting a sheaf of paper.
Your skill in Artistry increases your crafting speed.
You take 1 wood, bringing the total to 175.

You skillfully continue crafting a sheaf of paper.

You skillfully continue crafting a sheaf of paper.

You realize that your crafting has been disrupted, and all of your materials have gone to waste.
You take 1 linseed, bringing the total to 502.
    You quickly eat a linseed.
    You already possess the deathsight.

Why do Magick classes need to use so bloody much ink?!

You take 1 yellow ink, bringing the total to 27.
You carefully fill in some of the details of the sketch with yellow ink.

You take 1 green ink, bringing the total to 15.
You carefully fill in some of the details of the sketch with green ink.

You take 1 red ink, bringing the total to 80.
You carefully fill in some of the details of the sketch with red ink.

Why on earth do I need other people online with 6 different classes to start accessing my skills?!

You must be wielding your sketchbook in order to tear sketches from it.

This is even worse than Defiler terminology.

    Worst. Class. Ever.

You must be wielding a sketchbook in order to colour a sketch in with ink.

  • I liked the original bard class.  No way they would work against autocuring, though.
  • You liked the original Bard class because a drelith sketch could solo 90% of the game so once you threw one it didn't matter what else you did afterwards.

  • I didn't use sketches.  I just used Voice and Thespia back then.  Later Bards whored drelith sketches.
  • Could we go over COMBAT FOCUS again? It's a nice attempt at reducing the spam factor of combat but it goes too far and it really kills your situational awareness. I can't tell when my allies are being attacked, I can't tell when people change targets, etc, etc.

It would be really nice if I had the choice of what I wanted to suppress. For example, it would be really nice if I could suppress non-target curing information, because I really don't care about what people who are not my target are healing. It wouldn't reduce as much spam but it would help mitigate it without being such a detriment to overall combat performance.

  • A Combat Focus thing that every decent combatant in the game doesn't tell me "no, bad Jules, no use" would be huge for players like me, even more so if the game grows a bit and there are more big fights - the difference between "I might be able to take part in this stuff" and "well, screw it, yeah, alright, I'll try to blindly hit something, but I have no clue what is happening".
  • Could we please get an option for some generic "Player has gained/lost the shield defense" and "Player has gained/lost the rebounding defense" type messages?

It would be so nice not to have to keep up with something like the dozen varieties of raze/hammer and all the various shield messages. :(

  • You spread your arms slightly, calling out to nature for an icewyrm companion.
An immense cyanine icewyrm slides in quietly, its eyes locked to yours.
    Equilibrium Taken: 1.90s
    H:637/637 M:436/449 B:0 <-b pp> <db> K:0
Mount icewyrm208206 added to your EQBAL queue.
    H:637/637 M:436/449 B:0 <-b pp> <db> K:0
You have regained your mental equilibrium.
You must dismount from what you are currently riding before you can mount anything else.

If I try to summon my icewyrm when it is already in the room, can it just give me an "it is already here" message instead of taking eq every single time?

"On the battlefield I am a god. I love war. The steel, the smell, the corpses. I wish there were more. On the first day I drove the Northmen back alone at the ford. Alone! On the second I carried the bridge! Me! Yesterday I climbed the Heroes! I love war! I… I wish it wasn’t over."

  • Syntax: WYRM ICEBLAST <target> <direction>

Fire a ball of ice from your icewyrm's gullet that will hit an opponent in line-of-sight. This
ability triggers Frostheart (if active) and does not work if your target is in the room with you.

This attack hits through walls (last I checked), and is rather annoying. If I can't soulspear you through the wall, then how can you iceblast me? :(

Does it really go through walls? I've never tried at least intentionally. If it goes through walls, please change it so it will not. I want a fair game.
  • If I'm not mistaken, most other LoS ranged attacks go through walls. Soulspear would be the exception, rather than the rule in this case.
