Exciting Upcoming Changes

EDIT ***** Now that it's past midnight GMT, I'll tell you what you're already thinking: This was an April Fool's trick *****  END EDIT

Hello, Imperian!

Now that we've let the dust settle a bit, we want to give you an update on our plans to consolidate the game's population.

We've been pleased with the way the recent organization deletion went, so we've decided to move forward in a big way. Next week, in order to make the world seem more lived-in, and further roleplay, we're going to be deleting the following cities and councils: Antioch, Celidon, Ithaqua, Khandava, and Kinsarmar. All displaced characters will automatically be put into a new city, the Rebuilt Ruins of Caanae.

Along with this new organization, we've decided to bring back the concept of Gods and City Patrons, and have chosen Shallah to be the Patron of this new organization.

We're very excited about this way forward for the game, and the storytelling possibilities it will bring!

  • It would be glorious if this were actually happening.

    In all seriousness, nuke Ithaqua.
(Ring): Lartus says, "I heard Theophilus once threw a grenade and killed ten people."
(Ring): Lartus says, "Then it exploded."

(Ring): Zsetsu says, "Everyone's playing checkers, but Theophilus is playing chess."
  • Not even gonna lie, I fell for this for like 5 minutes. I was like... what? A+ sir, A+
  • Really, @Aodan? It was a bit obvious.. lol.

  • I've received a few concerned messages about these changes. I want to assure you that we're aware of your concerns and are taking them into account.

Notably, as with the previous deletion, there will be refunds given for owned properties. Any artifact properties within the organizations will be allowed to move them.

  • I kinda over thought it if you want me to be honest. And I didn't realize what today was. Made more sense when I did.
  • DruuDruu The Garden
This is kinda how @Eoghan is all the time. I try to pvp/pk him every day in the Garden, but to no avail. I'm trying to fight for justice, guys.

Totally didn't mean to make this sound like a Vahin reference...

It's true. I'm always working hard for the players!

  • On the one hand, it's super obvious.
On the other, I went through the Hammer event.

I agree, this is obviously the right direction for Imperian.

  • Ok, ok, it's past midnight GMT now, so I'll admit this... IS A TOTALLY LEGITIMATE POST AND WE'RE DELETING ALL THE ORGS.

But really, it was our April Fools trick. It was intended to be pretty transparent, but I'm sorry to the small handful of people that legitimately messaged me with worry.

  • Let us make math.
  • But bring back Shallah that could be fun.
You say, "This is much harder than just being a normal person."
  • This was good. By the way, are spring-side, affordable properties still available? Will my amateur lute-playing be a problem for my neighbours? Just curious.
