It's just that Antioch has no role. It has stopped necessarily being forthright about being anti-magick. It's not even about the leaders or people. I think Antioch, like Stavenn, probably should close up shop. The story is, despite all efforts of leadership since the Godfall, still inextricably attached to the concept of divinity, and that is a huge gaping hole in the narrative in a fashions.
If Ithaqua falls, Antioch NEEDS a new direction. If Antioch falls, Ithaqua NEEDS to not be so insular. Something has to give.
*: They aren't different. They should have never been released either. This is just another example of wanting a quick buck as opposed a healthy product.
E: constructive comment - we won't see flip boots taken away because they had tons of credits invested in them during auctions, etc. Chains I could see going, and @Naruj has the right idea in that regard. Chains are one of the big examples when I say that promos are sentencing Imperian's PK environment to a death by 1000 cuts. In this line of thought, chains are an example of a deeper than usual cut.
Guilds hold no purpose besides being a hub for a spedfiic brand of roleplay. I don't really agree with giving them any incentives. The point of this plan is to devalue them because they cannot effectively do what newbies need in this current Imperian. Honestly, guilds are antiquated organizations at this rate anyways.
