I don't know, would there be enough time for drawing a mark, afflicting up the target, and firing it in team fights?

In an even team fight? Yes.

Alright, I am somewhat reluctant to making changes based purely on theory and not practical testing, but to sum it up, these were the concerns raised thus far:

- harvesting Necromancy bones needs to be made easier, or dust needs to be obtainable from the bone commodity
- anti-body and anti-mind circles too powerful with all this - not sure how big a concern it is as the circle affects the Wytch too; will consider making these available only to Runeguards
- obstruct may require additional restrictions
- the instakill times may need to change to something like 11/7
- the concept of burning may not be sufficiently viable in 1v1 - this should be solvable by adding more abilities that would increase afflicting potential without presenting additional problems in team fights - making aeon as fast as Summoner aeon? Affliction to block diagnose? Something else?

The idea of a "finisher" is always a problem. If it's too easy it's overpowered, if it's too hard it's worthless.

Middle ground is quite impossible to find.

EDIT: imo the burns are something that HAS to be beta tested to be balanced. Theory won't do anything for it.

Why not just improve the marks without the burning part. So then you are balancing around one set of skills instead of two (For instance single evileye and then when you hit trans, when you get deadeyes, single evileye curses are pretty much worthless to ever use.)

The idea is to build up to a finisher that allows you to then smash in your opponent. Basically, think of the 'second' marks as other skills in the skillset only they have limited conditions, kind of like BBT and such.

As with others, this seems like something that would have to be beta-tested, I think that in theory Cadmus could be quite powerful but I'd have to see it in action first (and even then only powerful against certain classes).

However, thinking along those lines is there going to be a way to change marks mid-fight? To follow the previous example, Cadmus I can see as being very powerful in the right hands, leading to truelocks... against those without fitness. Say I'm fighting somebody, open up by hitting with Cadmus and then they turn around and respond with a DSL. I likely won't have a way to kill them with raw afflicting power (maybe lock them down, but not actually kill), and I'm locked into a certain plan of action purely because they changed professions before I noticed.

There are other examples too, but I don't like the idea of being locked into a plan of action at the start of a fight is all I'm saying and would like to have the option to say "Alright, this plan is not working, reset offense and go to plan B"

1) That would give us another use for the Bone Comm

2) Please no. :( The anti-body/mind is a two bladed dagger. Once it's up yeah the first person to stack the first affliction typically has the upperhand but to first get a curse in 1 v 1 you have to hit breach then curse. Plenty of time for a dsl of w/e you want or any other affliction to hit. :(

But curseward is slow, curses aren't, and there's a mark to deny curseward entirely. It's really really ridiculous to be in the hands of Wytchen as it is, this would only make it more terrifying.

Also. I'd give an arm and leg for Lifevision.

Artifact # Description Cost
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  159 a mask of lifevision 750 Credits
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A bit hypocritical coming from the guy who has three professions with lifevision I know, but we honestly don't need more lifevision as a class skill unless we plan on just deleting the artifact outright.

Is runelore really more important than masked afflictions?

Yes.

I was never sure, I've never really played the class.

Will Marks be like a sketch where a wytch could theoretically mark an entire raiding group? Or can the Wytch only hold one mark at a time?

The best way to make sure that the class is not over/underpowered is to grab combatants and invite them to a test server, with artifacts, race changes, and all classes available. We will spend hours testing the class for no reward, this stuff is fun for us.

Watch what happens, be willing to take our suggestions into account. Then, once you figure out any changes you want to make, close the test server, make changes, then open it again. Repeat until you're satisfied.

I'm not certain how you'd want to pick combatants, perhaps with applications? Take more into account than simply combat/PK rank.

Also, thank you. This is something many of us, including myself, did not think would ever happen. I would love to see similar things, albeit on a smaller scale, for Bard (Artistry) and Priest (Healing). I'm sure most Imperianites would feel the same. And fixing Stavennite harvest amount at the same time is awesome.
