Comments are welcome.

Quick Edit - The Class Isn't Out. Flaming will be met with disinterest.

Edit Mk II!: What I'm going for here, granted before the skill are out (though we know what we're dealing with) is a sort of Anathema approach to the natural world, seasoned with a hefty moon of terror blend. We (the Defilers, I say we because I posted this stuff) understand the way most people view nature, we pat them on the head because they are wrong, and we present the proper lens with which to look at things. That is to say, the Darkwood is not the demonic take on nature, it is the Terror take on nature. We understand that demons and nature do not mesh, but demons and terror do, and we're more than willing to assist the empire in spreading the darkwood across the less-than-afraid idiots of aetherius.

"I love this tree!" becomes "What the hell this tree is trying to eat my face!" becomes "Oh crap this tree ate my face and then put little face-eating tree acorns into my buddies!" becomes "STEER CLEAR OF THEM THAR TREES!"

Replace tree for your natural habitat of choice. We're all about exploiting fear.

Edit Tres' Redux: I'm not going to be able to post the RP stuff this morning, so I'll cover the generic RP terminology.

The Ash - Is not literal. The Ash is the essence of fearing nature. When you're strolling through the woods and the sun doesn't quite make it through the trees, that's the Ash manifesting in your head. When you're out in the desert and you wonder if you'll make it to water, hurrrr Ash. When you light a shrub on fire, put the fire out with your own blood, and then wipe the mixture onto your face in the light of the moon of terror, you guessed it, Ash!

The Darkwood - As I am to understand from what I can read, most of the defiler's skills will be foresty in nature. Not to say I wouldn't enjoy a naturalismy demonic skillset, it's just what I've got to work with. All is subject to change. For the current, the Darkwood is the natural world corrupted by the essence of the moon of terror. Aka, anything natural that has been 'defiled' falls under the category of the Darkwood. It is where the Defiler finds himself most at ease, as it is a place born of terror and manifested in Ash.

Blight/The Revelation - Basically, the act of defiling. I didn't want to use blight as the DA reference would have me mocked for ages, but I couldn't think of anything else, and that's what I went with. The Defilers aren't demonic in that they play with demons, they are demonic in that we have the circles. What they really barter in is the Blight, or the Revelation. Anytime the natural world is turned perverse through the will of the defiler and the essence of terror (aka the Ash, hooray for coherency!), they are revealing the truth of nature, or causing a blight.

Boy I can't wait until I can post what I had written for HELP DEFILERS.

:(

Will they be tied to the Order of Avasyu?

I jest, but still, a little premature. But hey, if you think you can get support for it, it's not the worst idea.

I'd just like to point out other things I've predicted that have happened.

Stfu about the Order of Avaysu, it was a good idea at the time.

And granted, while I think my version will obviously be the best version, I'll actually have to log in and play my character to see my great schemes come to fruition. At least I have plenty of time to revise and raise gold.

Why must Stavenn always tempt me with awesome classes?! WHY!

Also, buff corpseflower!*

*Currently does random afflictions and looks entirely awesome.

No but honestly, I can't wait.. I might just make a new character to help out with this or to learn the class and have it be awesome... mostly because it just sounds awesome. Can't wait to hear more.

Honestly, upon release all of this will be tweaked to meet the IG skillsets and such.

I can't build much without coded help to the backstory.

But what I can do is start up a cult of the Terror Moon and wait.

Wait and wait and wait.

Anybody who thinks letting this guy take the leadership of a new guild should take a good long look at his past and rethink that.

I said nothing about leadership, chump.

I just like writing charters.

Sweet lemonade.

Why I don't think you should tie Moons into RP that much. Corrupted King of Souls sounds so much more BA

Leading he may or may not be iffy about (I can't say I remember him leading any guild), but as far as guild creation goes he's got a better track record than most.

Aspecthood hides your suffix, so that'd never occur, though I do get your point/agree.

They should really let you config turn that on and off, because liberating aspect is kinda pointless. Lose all your cool skills just for your title back.

Who cares about titles?

Though I want an option to turn off OTHER's titles. Actually, to me it doesn't make sense that just for looking at someone for the first time I know she is 'The Loved One, Follower of Peace'

Khizan: When the time comes, I'll be ready. Others will flinch at their duty. Not me. I know the signs, I know what to look for, and I know what has to be done. I'm still not looking forward to explaining to my boss why I took a crowbar to a patient's head, though.

Most Hated Labil, Destroyer of baby Chihuahua's, I'd be like yep, don't mess with that guy. (even though Labil is female)
