Okay, since both of you are wrong, here's what happens:

First jump gives you 50% of your lessons when you quit class as per normal. If you join a class with shared skills, all shared skills are immediately learned back to 50% of what you had invested as well, effectively meaning that you lose nothing. If you jump again, you still get the 50% shared skills back, but the lessons you get back are only 50% of what you learned rather than 50% of what your skills are at.
