I have it on very good authority that gunpowder won't be added. First, it would raise Imperian from the tech level it was designed to be at. This is why, no matter how hard they try in Ithaqua, I very highly doubt that they'll ever get to make steam engines, or anything like that.

Well, technically, the Analeith Caverns have some (but not yet advanced) explosive. I don't think we'll ever achieve the rank of steam engines either, but that's probably for the best.

Imperian has the bare bones for tech, I believe.

Again, this thread is not intended to complain about wardens or Ithaqua. I'm not sure what Ithaqua has done to you, Sparda, but I suspect the word "Kabal" is in your explanation for why you're inexplicably hostile. To which, I say, I don't hate Stavenn cause Cander is a member, and he's tons worse than Kabal could be if he spent a year trying. So leave it off, can you? It doesn't hurt you for Ithaqua to happen. Honestly, you sound worse than the arbs sometimes!

Meh, i'm sure if Cander made his every post in some way related to criticizing Ithaqua on these forums you would be equally as hostile regarding Stavenn. I happen to think my posts are mild compared to Kabal's posts regarding Stavenn but I can understand that they would hit you harder than Kabal since Ithaqua is basically your baby. I'll try to stay clear of the Ithaqua subject when replying to Kabal.

Are you ever gonna give up on that? The Arbs have nothing against Ithaqua. They voted on it and the vote came out no, simple fact. There's not much that can be done about it at this point. Then again you can ask for third set of votes in a few years time but I doubt the outcome will change.

Erin's quite right, I'm sorry. The arbs who complained about Ithaqua quit doing so a long time ago. Bad habit to complain.
Aroo, and so forth.

I don't think i ever brought the fact that bards are magick up in character... I just saw it happen, RPed with it and left it at that..

I remember that. Olivet was sketching Sparda in Ithaqua and Wren was there too? The messages I got were odd, like "You feel to weak to move" and things like that, making Olivet collapse until she had to be "carried" out of Ithaqua. Luckily she didn't explode. :( As dramatic as Olivet is, it was fun to RP out.

you're welcome, hope you come up with a good IC explanation for it... something like... "it was caused by turbulance in the flow of magick through ithaqua"

They could just blame it on Sparda's presence in Ithaqua!!!

I think they should make doubleslash involve one sword and that would take care of -most- my New Guild wants. That will allow a bit of diffrence between each knight allowing him to choose among a few diffrence options: sword and shield, claymores, or any other two handed sword.

I have to agree with whoever pointed out the fire attacks thing. Having any more gun powder than the exploding arrows wouldn't make sense on the cause and effect level. If they wanted major realism than being incinerated should cause your exploding arrows to go off. At one point I wanted to see muskets in Imperian, but not anymore.

This is a very, very bad idea for a number of reasons.

The main ones:
1. Two hits with a claymore would be rediculously damaging.
2. If you can dsl with one sword and a shield, Knights get even tankier.
3. Its completely unoriginal and would bring us closer to becoming Achaea.

I think he meant a dsl using only one two-handed sword...but there's another thread for that out there.

Ah... if that were a feasible hiding place I'd take it but sadly no. Whether you take a two hits from one or one per two claymores, it doesn't matter.

I wonder how a knight guild with chivalry, smithing, and trailblazing would do. Sounds like it'd be interesting, but I wonder if trailblazing would be enough of a supporting skillset.

I know that is what he meant. The end result is the same, however, whether two swords or one is used.

What about a dragoon-type class? Their weapon would be the spear, and they wouldn't have double attacks, but skills that simply allowed them to attack very, very quickly. Perhaps just hitting on herb balance time, for Tanari with a quick spear. Their version of Cleaving would be a big jump into the air *grin*
