As people have mentioned, no one is forcing anyone to be a member of the ring, or clan.You can do NSUM # but it only lists 20 at a time with author/subject listed.
Addiction in it's current state, however, is needed for Defiler combat. I know there might be some good people around to prove me wrong, and that would be wonderful, since I can't say I'm more than a mediocre fighter at best. I played Rift for a long time, good game. Then a little bit of LotrO. Just played through Syberia I and II again, because they're awesome.
Well, depending on if it's Lua/Python/Jscript/etc it would be different. You should take a look at the Mushclient forums for expert advice, there are a lot of people willing to help in a way that you would learn how to do it yourself. Even Nick Gamm…This is what I use to send exits to my bar, shouldn't be too difficult to work out how to change it.
