(Quote) I agree that Berserker feels super unfinished. Bloodflow could stand to just deliver haemophilia without a bleeding requirement - other classes get it on demand, it isn't like Knights can't already crap it out for a team anyways. Jury…

I don't believe Haste controls all of Berserker's power budget. If it does, then the class definitely should not have made it out of beta. That would mean they knowingly doomed the class to only be useful for buffing a team. I would like to think we…

(Quote) Classes that are slippery are slippery at the expense of something. The true problem presented by the acrobat boots is when you introduce those skills in to a kit that has not been designed to take that in to account. I don't necessar…

Flip boots and Raksha never should have been made, and they are probably the prehistoric examples of lacking forethought in Imperian design. I mean that as no offense, as hindsight is 20/20; at the time, I thought Raksha was kinda cool and acrobatic…

(Quote) Sure, but until then, can we put the BS aside and agree both of your classes are very, very strong and there are some that need more reasonable attention? This is pretty counterproductive.

So, I think we need to talk about Berserkers. Usually, I'd put this in its own thread, but Engineer is clearly more important than our current professions actually working, so I guess this will just become a classlead concern anyways. Last night, I …

I'd like to preface this suggestion with this: I would ideally just like the damage bonus from an artifact weapon to source itself out to Warchants too, since Warchants are physical and logically artifact weapons just buff physical damage a la menta…

(Quote) Any chance we could get an answer on the 'design direction' statement I had pitched a few days back? Otherwise, this is really fantastic and I appreciate the transparency on the topic of when to expect this process.

Funnily enough, this would have been the kind of thing I'd jokingly suggest Bard gets, while making wide allusions to Bard being the Priest of Magick. Regretfully, that seems too soon considering this thread. I'm always going to weigh in on the side…

(Quote) Regardless of your intention when utilizing that phrasing, it is always going to leave you open to confrontation about personal bias (or, more precisely, loser's bias) and that was my point. Don't bring up accessibility or beginner fr…

@Owyn - in the best interest of getting to the point of this topic, I would like to open this post up by saying I'm not really looking for a fight. I like to stick to …

Nah - sale just provides three tokens that set your lessons invested to 1738 in a given profession skill. You would then just use the three on one profession.

From a business standpoint, it is bad for business to stop making these promotional items - at least in the short term. My business acumen is probably far less developed than Jeremy's, especially because this is his arena of expertise. However, it i…

(Quote) Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, there's the very real possibility that something a class needs gets shot down because of the same biased people, or even the same set of factors you just pointed out. That class is then shi…

@Owyn - If that's the case, why didn't anybody say something about the aquamarine earring when it was released? I knew it was going to be a problem upon reading its de…

RE: Classlead Process Changes...
How do you quantify any of the qualifications you want in those kinds of testers? Is it alright for them to hold the reins for the vision of where Imperian's combat 'should go'? If so, why? Please be real:… -
(Quote) I guess I'll just say it: oh well. Them's the breaks. buyer beware, etc. These days, I'm big on Greater Good; if it might be best for the game for these to get changed, those people can just bite their lip about it when they do. Any a…

(Quote) I want to reply to these two portions separately.
First part: 'A short respite' is kind of an understatement. The closest analogue to this artifact lasts half as long and deal a portion of the blocked damage at end… -
Earrings are nuts too, actually. Any of the ones that alters the balance time of a curative, for instance, were an awful idea to offer. When you make classes or skills, you are making them with the knowledge that there are some constants in the equa…

(Quote) From the outside, you are correct. This is, in a way, a better and worse auction tent. My issue comes forward, right now, when it comes to how the refusal was raised rather than anything. I interpret it as this:

My first thought when I logged in for the first time in ages was, "Wow, that Bronze Shield book sounds like the nuts."
My big problem is how inconsistently powerful some of them are - Tome of the Holy Martyr follows all the rules of norma… -
(Quote) What's your opinion on it after playing it for longer than, oh, a session or three? I don't meet many people who do, regretfully, so I'm interested.

It is a throw away event anyways - the 'real ToA' comes later. While a rich get richer scenario is pretty shitty, you are truly kidding yourself if you believe yearly victors (Risca, for instance..) are all charity cases or something.

Aetherships, last I played, were basically for bashing to Demigod and accessing some demiplanes. Hardly cool.

Edit: Shameful display on my part, even for me.
