The idea of other Predators and etc messing with my limb breaks was the biggest reason for me to not go Predator, and even now when I am one, I hate it and it is enough to make me want to pick up another class on the side. It truly irritates me.
Enlighten and cc(ut) combos are apples to oranges. While I am slightly nervous about how easy it is for a demonic team to crank out an enlighten, it takes a bit of tracking and coordination. I think veils are a stupid artifact that shouldn't exist, but they cost 600 dollars and people still buy them for some reason, so..The defense to an entire class should never be 'run', because that logic dictates really 'to win the fight, don't fight'. No class should be balanced on that paradigm.
