Will these ever be updated? Really the only reason I log in anymore-- and even now, there isn't much incentive.

You say, "It's in the ^%*@ing gypsy caravan I hate you ^%*@."

Scratching your head, you take a long look at a treasure map of Aetherius, trying to figure out where to go.
It has a big red 'X' in the middle of 'the Western Celidon'.
You are getting closer to the treasure!

I think I've rolled untradeable artifact vial 3 times in a row now

I mean its cool, but I already had a full set of yeti ones so they are paperweights

I wish these could be traded in at least. The one I got bothers me trying to organize my inventory so much.

Waiting 12d to get less than a credit's worth of gold is both anticlimatic and extremely disappointing. Id rather arguably useless trinkets than gold to be honest.

Well. They are really meant to be fun more then a money making venture.

Sure, but the gold is a worthless reward, really. I waited two weeks to get something I can get normally in half an hour of stabbing up Skegdald or Iaat.

And when I speak about worth, I'm not talking about "hey I can sell this for big bucks on the promo market" I mean something I can actually make some sort of use of. Even a gimmicky promo item, a familiar, or similar, is worth something in that context. The gold is just a drop of water in the ocean and the number of times I've got it now has had me neglecting my map out of not wanting to spend an half an hour to an hour looking for 7k gold.

[edit] In other words, I'm not really looking to dig up a smelter thing or a veil or something. I want curiosities. Interesting little things of novelty value. The deathmask was the thing that stood out for me amidst the digs I've had so far, because it was just that.

I didn't invest 1,000 credits to type "read map" and random directions over and over until I can dig FOR FUN.

    Just saying.

It is important to remember with the treasure map, as with all tiered credit rewards, that they are bonus rewards on top of credit purchases. Purchasing 100 credits to get a map piece does not mean the map piece cost you 100. In fact, it means it was free!

If the cost came from purchasing them on the promotions market... well, we can't really control the resale price. If the resale price means that a complete map isn't worth the rewards, then players are pricing them too high.

In addition to all of that, we also have to balance the reward with the fact that the maps are permanent items. Lesser value rewards temper the fact that high value items can also be found. If we remove the low value items, we also need to take out high value items to keep the same average reward value.

I'm sorry, but while it's true that it's a value-add, it's a value-add to a three-hundred-dollar purchase, so I mean, sure, I am not bemoaning the familiars, or tonics. They all have specialist value that while they may or may apply or appeal to me, they still fulfill that criteria of "neat vanity gimmick things" Gold, however, has no real such value.

My personal suggestion would be to replace the gold with title tokens/ethereal things/whatever your "common" promo item of the moment is. I don't think that's unreasonable.

We're not asking for you to remove the low value items; we're asking you to switch them up. Because right now, low value items = no value items because we have a million of them. It's been a year--I don't need four deathskull masks.

If I'm going to spend that kind of money on something on a game for such little return, I'll probably just spend my money elsewhere next time.

tbh there should be a way to fund new conflict systems or update old conflict systems directly instead of relying on buying stupid time-limited OP pvp items or silly cosmetic costumes.

    1. condensed sukhder vial
    2. phylactery
    3. stupid chocolate-brown goat kid

As you tentatively open the small box, it bursts into brilliant golden light that blinds you completely. As your vision slowly clears, a weak, quavering voice says, "I may be gone, Wyll, but you shall take a piece of me with you..."
You have been granted 2053 gold sovereigns, a tattered map of the Aoash Forest and 25 Credits.

    That'll do, pigley. That'll do.
    You say, "Oh crap."
You say, "My bottle is empty."
    Jeremy raises an eyebrow questioningly.
Jeremy slaps you on the cheek.
